35,083 Agrish Adult Portable Bed Rails Recalled in Expanded CPSC Action 2026

About 35,083 Agrish adult portable bed rails are now covered by an expanded recall, after the company reannounced its earlier action and added more units. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says the bed rails violate the mandatory federal standard for adult portable bed rails and can trap users, creating a risk of serious injury or death by asphyxiation.

About 5,000 of these bed rails were previously recalled in January 2026. The October 1, 2026 announcement brings the total to roughly 35,083 units. If you or a family member uses an Agrish bed rail, read the details below carefully.

Products Affected by This Recall

The recall covers Agrish-branded adult portable bed rails, models AG-12011, 12014 and 12016, which are meant for use on adult beds. The model number is printed in the owner’s manual and labeled on the metal post of the bed rail.

The recalled bed rails have white tubing with rounded gray foam rubber handle grips. Each model has multiple batch numbers and manufacture dates, listed on the unit and in the instruction manual. The sizes are:

  • Model 12014: about 11 inches wide and 39 inches high
  • Model AG-12011: about 12 inches wide and 42 inches high
  • Model 12016: about 37 inches wide and 45 inches high

The Reason Behind the Recall

According to the CPSC, the bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails. Once a rail is attached to a bed, a user can become entrapped within the rail or in the gap between the rail and the side of the mattress. That is a serious entrapment hazard and carries a risk of death by asphyxiation.

The problems go beyond entrapment. The bed rails do not meet the structural stability or retention strap requirements, which creates a fall hazard. The push pins and push pin holes are also incorrectly sized, posing a laceration hazard.

Incidents and Injuries

The firm has received one report of a consumer fall involving an Agrish adult bed rail, model AG-12011. The CPSC notice does not mention any other incidents or injuries.

Where Were These Products Sold?

The bed rails were sold online at Amazon.com from April 2025 through May 2026 for between $50 and $80. They were manufactured in China by Zhongshan Lebo Medical Co., Ltd. The importer is Shenzhen Yunshangqinyang E-commerce Ltd., doing business as Agrish Direct, also of China.

What Consumers Need to Do Now

If you own one of these bed rails, check the model number first. If it matches, stop using the rail immediately. Because the hazard involves entrapment, this is especially important if the rail is in use by an older adult, a person with limited mobility, or anyone who may not be able to free themselves from a gap.

  • Stop using the recalled adult portable bed rail right away.
  • Go to the recall page at agrish.online/recall to register for the recall.
