About 6,000 Sauna360 Tylö Saunas Recalled Again Over Fall Hazard

About 6,000 Tylo Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid sauna rooms are back under recall, less than a year after the first fix failed to solve the problem. Sauna360 and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the expanded recall on September 17, 2026, after dozens of new reports showed the sauna benches continuing to collapse even in units that had already been repaired.

The affected products are Sauna360’s Tylo-branded Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid sauna rooms, sold through various distributors nationwide from July 2024 through July 2026 for between $6,000 and $12,000. The saunas were imported by Sauna360, Inc., of Cokato, Minnesota, and manufactured by SFactor in China.

What Products Are Being Recalled?

The recall covers several Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid models, including the ‘Tylo Halmstad 2’, ‘Tylo Halmstad 3’, ‘Tylo Halmstad 4’, ‘Tylo Kiruna Hybrid 2’ and ‘Tylo Kiruna Hybrid 3’. Each unit has a serial number printed on a label; on Halmstad rooms it sits beneath the upper bench on the left side, just above the electrical contactor box, while on Kiruna Hybrid rooms it is located on the right wall beneath the upper bench. Model numbers appear in the owner’s manual.

Serial number ranges included in the recall run from CSFxxABTRxx-V1-4296 through CSFxxABADTRxx-V1-18577 and SFxxABTRxx-V1-48413 through SFxxABTRxx-V1-48444 for Halmstad models, and CSFxxABISxxTL-V1-4674 through CSFxxABADISxxTL-V1-18503 for Kiruna Hybrid models.

Why Was This Recall Issued?

The sauna benches can collapse without warning, creating a serious fall hazard for anyone sitting or standing on them. Sauna360 first recalled these same sauna rooms in October 2025 to address the issue, but the original repair did not fix the underlying problem. Since then, the company has received 77 additional reports of benches breaking, resulting in six injuries. One consumer suffered head and neck injuries, and another sprained an ankle.

Because the earlier remedy proved ineffective, CPSC and Sauna360 are now expanding the recall and offering a new, more thorough repair.

Who Should Be Concerned

If you own one of these Tylo Halmstad or Kiruna Hybrid sauna rooms, you should be concerned regardless of whether you already had the 2025 repair completed. The company says even previously repaired units remain at risk of bench failure, so past participation in the first recall does not mean your sauna is safe to use now.

What Consumers Need to Do Now

Stop using the sauna immediately, even if you already received the earlier repair. Contact Sauna360 to schedule a new, free retrofit, in which a professional installer will add extra hardware and supports to reinforce the bench seating.

CPSC states plainly that the saunas ‘contain a bench that can collapse, posing a fall hazard to consumers,’ adding that the ‘previous recall repair was ineffective’ and that a new repair is now being offered. The agency also reminds the public that federal law bars anyone from reselling a product once it has been recalled, whether the recall is government-ordered or undertaken voluntarily with CPSC oversight.
