HAUOMS Eight-Drawer Dressers Recalled for Tip-Over Risk: CPSC

Children could be seriously hurt or killed if a HAUOMS eight-drawer dresser tips over or traps them, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says. Jiastfeng is recalling about 1,392 of the black wooden dressers, and owners should stop using any unit that is not anchored to the wall and contact the company for a refund.

The HAUOMS eight-drawer dresser recall carries CPSC recall number 27-068 and was announced on November 5, 2026.

What Products Are Being Recalled?

The recall covers HAUOMS-branded eight-drawer dressers. CPSC describes them as black wooden units. Check your dresser against these details:

  • Product: HAUOMS Eight-drawer Dresser, wooden, black
  • Width, length, height: about 27.6 inches wide, 15.8 inches long and 59.1 inches tall
  • Weight: about 112.4 pounds
  • SKU: SKU: AJ_DJ504298_1 is printed on the product packaging
  • Where sold: Amazon.com, from May 2025 through September 2026, for about $150
  • Units: about 1,392

The notice does not give a model number or UPC, so the SKU on the packaging is the main identifier. If the box is gone, the size, color and eight drawers are what CPSC lists.

Why Was This Recall Issued?

The dressers are unstable when they are not fixed to a wall. That creates tip-over and entrapment hazards, and CPSC says the outcome can be serious injury or death for children.

The dressers also fail the mandatory safety standard for clothing storage units that the STURDY Act requires.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.

Who Is Affected?

Anyone who bought the dresser on Amazon.com during that window is covered, and homes with young children have the most at stake. CPSC names the seller as Zhengzhoushi Rupiao Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd., doing business as Jiastfeng, of China. The product was manufactured in China.

The notice does not break down sales by state or say whether the dressers were sold anywhere else.

What Should You Do?

The remedy is a full refund, but it comes with a set of steps. CPSC lays them out this way:

  • Stop using the dresser immediately if it is not anchored to the wall.
  • Move it to an area that children cannot access.
  • Contact Jiastfeng by email at recall@hauoms.com to request a full refund.
  • Write ‘RECALLED’ in permanent marker on the top, front and sides of the dresser.
  • Remove all of the drawers.
  • Photograph the marked and disassembled dresser and email the photos to recall@hauoms.com.
  • Dispose of the dresser.

Problems with the product can also be reported to the CPSC hotline at 800-638-2772 (TTY 800-638-8270) or at SaferProducts.gov.
