41,580 Infrared Saunas Recalled by Sauna360 Over Fire, Burn Risk

Overheating infrared panels inside Sauna360’s infrared and hybrid saunas can short circuit, creating a serious risk of fire and burns for anyone using them. That danger has prompted a nationwide recall of roughly 41,580 units in the United States, with an additional 6,758 sold in Canada also affected.

The recall, announced September 17, 2026, and issued in conjunction with Canadian authorities, covers a wide lineup of infrared saunas, hybrid infrared saunas and infrared (IR) kits sold under several brand names tied to importer Sauna360 Inc., of Cokato, Minnesota. The units were manufactured in China.

Products Affected by This Recall

The recall spans numerous brands and series, including Finnleo (IS Series, S Series, Sentinel, Sentinel Hybrid), Helo (S Series), Radiant Health (Elite and Pause series), Sauna360 (E Series), Saunatec and Tylohelo (B Series), Tylo (IG Series, Kiruna, Kiruna Hybrid) and unbranded S Series units. Also included are custom and semi-custom IR sauna kits with panels sold under names such as ‘Saunalogic,’ ‘Infralogic,’ ‘Carbonflex,’ ‘Aspire,’ ‘Bliss’ and ‘Tylö.’

Consumers who purchased custom rooms built with IR panels can check their control panel for these product names or consult their product manual. Those with pre-configured infrared sauna rooms can identify their unit by the brand badge on the front frame panel, the control panel, the manual or the logo handle. A serial number, located under the lower bench or on the wall under the upper bench, can also be provided to Sauna360 to confirm whether a specific unit is part of the recall.

What Went Wrong?

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the infrared panels used in these saunas and kits can short circuit. When that happens, the panels can overheat, creating a fire and burn hazard for people in or near the unit. Sauna360 has received 67 reports of overheating, melting, charring or burning tied to the affected products. No injuries have been reported to date.

Where Were These Products Sold?

The recalled saunas and kits were sold at Costco stores and at pool and spa dealerships nationwide, as well as online through Costco.com and other retail websites. Sales ran from May 2013 through July 2026, with prices ranging from about $6,000 to $13,000 per unit.

Steps Consumers Should Take

CPSC and Sauna360 are urging anyone with an affected sauna to stop using it right away. Consumers should not attempt to inspect or repair the unit themselves and should instead contact Sauna360 directly to schedule a free in-home repair carried out by a professional installer.

CPSC classified this as a Fast Track Recall, a process in which a firm voluntarily works with the agency to announce a recall quickly after identifying a hazard. The recall carries the official number 26-784. Federal law bars the sale of any product subject to a Commission-ordered or voluntary recall undertaken with CPSC, meaning retailers and resellers cannot legally continue offering these saunas.

Consumers can also report unsafe products or related injuries directly to CPSC through SaferProducts.gov, and can sign up for recall email alerts through the agency’s website for future updates on this and other product safety actions.
