CPSC Announces Arlopu Slide Playset Recall Over Entrapment Risk

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Arlopu Slide Playsets on November 5, 2026, because openings in the frames can trap a child’s head and neck. Stop using the playsets now, keep them away from children and ask Arlopu for a free repair kit. This Arlopu slide playset recall covers models KT-CS17 and LY-31.

Recalled Products at a Glance

Both models are plastic playsets built for indoor or outdoor use. Each bundles several activity pieces, including a slide and a basketball hoop. Colors include tan, red, blue, yellow, gray and green.

  • Product: Arlopu Slide Playsets
  • Model numbers: KT-CS17 and LY-31
  • Where to find KT-CS17: a label on the underside of the elevated platform
  • Where to find LY-31: a label on the upper back panel behind the slide
  • Units: about 10,318
  • Sold at: Amazon.com and Walmart.com, April 2023 through August 2026, for between $90 and $130
  • Recall number: 27-066

What Triggered the Recall

According to the CPSC notice, the playsets have several openings that a child’s torso can pass through while the head cannot. A child caught that way faces a risk of serious injury and death from head and neck entrapment.

Model KT-CS17 carries a separate problem. Its basketball net can come unhooked from the rim and form a loop large enough for a child’s head. CPSC lists entanglement and strangulation among the hazards.

One incident has been reported to Arlopu. An entrapment left a child with abrasions on the neck.

Who Should Be Concerned

Anyone who owns or lets a child use an Arlopu slide playset with either model number is affected. The notice names Amazon.com and Walmart.com as the sales channels and lists no others.

The importer is SHENZHENSHIMINGXIAOSHANGMAOYOUXIANGONGSI, doing business as Arlopu, of China. The playsets were made in China.

Check the label first. If the model number is neither KT-CS17 nor LY-31, this recall does not name your product.
