About 25,762 PILLANI nursing pillows sold on Amazon are being recalled in the United States because they can obstruct an infant’s breathing. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on October 29, 2026, saying the pillows violate the mandatory safety standards for nursing pillows and pose a serious risk of injury or death from suffocation.

No incidents or injuries have been reported so far. Even so, the agency is telling consumers to stop using the pillows immediately and claim a full refund.

What Triggered the Recall

CPSC says the pillows do not meet the mandatory federal safety standards for nursing pillows. Because of that, they can obstruct an infant’s breathing. The notice describes the hazard as a serious risk of injury or death from suffocation.

Nursing pillows are designed to support a baby during feeding, so a product that blocks the airway defeats its purpose. That is why a failure to meet the mandatory standard is treated so seriously, even when no injuries have been reported.

Where Were These Products Sold?

The pillows were sold online only, through Amazon.com, between April 2026 and September 2026. Prices ran between $30 and $40. The seller is G.M.H.L. LLP, doing business as PILLANI, based in Houston, Texas. The pillows were manufactured in China.

Anyone who bought a PILLANI nursing pillow on Amazon during that window should check the label. That includes parents, grandparents and anyone who received one as a gift.

Steps Consumers Should Take

Here is what the recall notice asks consumers to do:

  • Stop using the nursing pillow immediately and keep it away from infants.
  • Check the attached label for model number NP4351 and batch number 202604, 202605 or 202606.
  • Contact PILLANI for a full refund by email at pillanirecall@gmail.com, or online at pill-ani.com/pages/recall. You can also go to pill-ani.com and click ‘Recall’ at the top of the page.
  • Send the company a photo of the product when asked.
  • Follow the disposal instructions PILLANI provides, then dispose of the recalled pillow.

Do not throw the pillow away before you have contacted the company. The refund process asks for a photo first, and the company will then give you disposal instructions.

From the Agency

CPSC lists the remedy as a refund and says no injuries or incidents have been reported. The agency also reminds the public that federal law prohibits anyone from selling products subject to a recall undertaken in consultation with the CPSC. Secondhand sellers should therefore not resell these pillows.

Consumers can reach the CPSC hotline at 800-638-2772 (TTY 800-638-8270) for lifesaving information. Anyone who has experienced a dangerous product or a product-related injury can also report it at SaferProducts.gov.

As a precaution, parents of newborns and young infants should make sure any feeding or support pillow they use meets current safety standards and is used as its instructions direct. Anyone unsure whether a pillow is covered by this recall should check the label details above or contact PILLANI directly.
