What Products Are Being Recalled?
This recall covers the CooCooBaby Classic Lounger and CooCooBaby Deluxe Lounger. Both models are constructed of a foam sleeping pad and padded bumpers with a cloth cover, and were sold in multiple styles and colors. The Deluxe lounger features buttons at the foot, while the Classic lounger has a ribbon tie at the foot. The brand name ‘CooCooBaby’ along with manufacturing information can be found on tags sewn onto the sides of both loungers. These products were sold online at CooCooBabyOfficial.com and Amazon.com from December 2024 through March 2026, priced between $35 and $70.
Why Was This Recall Issued?
The CooCooBaby Baby Loungers violate the mandatory federal standard for Infant Sleep Products in multiple ways. The sides of the lounger are shorter than the minimum required side height, which fails to adequately secure an infant. Additionally, the sleeping pad’s thickness exceeds the maximum permitted limit, creating a suffocation hazard. Infants could also fall out of an enclosed opening at the foot of the lounger or become entrapped in that opening. Furthermore, these portable loungers do not include a stand, creating an additional fall hazard. Together, these deficiencies create an unsafe sleeping environment for infants, with the potential for serious injury or death. No incidents or injuries have been reported to date.
Who Is Affected?
Families and caregivers who purchased CooCooBaby Baby Loungers — either the ‘Classic’ or ‘Deluxe’ models — between December 2024 and March 2026 are affected by this recall. The products were available through CooCooBabyOfficial.com and Amazon.com at prices ranging from $35 to $70. Approximately 2,355 units were sold in the United States. The loungers were manufactured in China and sold by CooCooBaby, a company based in China.
