About 10,750 GBYMIUY magnetic stick figure toy sets sold on Amazon are being recalled in the United States because loose high-powered magnets can come out of the toys and be swallowed by children. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on October 1, 2026, under recall number 27-008. The toys violate the mandatory standard for toys.

Core risk: swallowed magnets can lodge in a child’s digestive system and cause serious internal injuries or death.

Recalled Products at a Glance

The recall covers GBYMIUY Magnetic Stick Figure Toy Sets. Each set comes in a pack of 30 multi-colored human-shaped figures, some transparent and some opaque. Each figure is about 2.91 inches tall and 2.3 inches wide. Magnets are built into the hand and foot locations of every figure.

The Reason Behind the Recall

The CPSC says the toy sets violate the mandatory standard for toys. The reason is that the figures can liberate loose high-powered magnets, which creates an ingestion hazard for children.

The danger of swallowed magnets goes beyond choking. When a child swallows more than one magnet, the magnets can attract each other, or attract other metal objects, while inside the body. According to the CPSC, they can become lodged in the digestive system. That can lead to perforations, twisting or blockage of the intestines, blood poisoning and death.

Who Should Be Concerned

Anyone who bought these toy sets on Amazon.com between April and July 2026 should check their home right away. Parents, grandparents, caregivers and anyone who gave the toys as gifts should look at the packaging for the GBYMIUY name and the X004TVHD2Z number.

The toys are a particular concern in homes with young children, who often put small objects in their mouths. Loose magnets that break out of the figures are small enough to be swallowed.

The CPSC said no injuries have been reported so far.

What Consumers Need to Do Now

If you have these toys, act today. Do not wait for a convenient time.

  • Take the stick figures away from children immediately.
  • Stop using the toys.
  • Contact GBYMIUY by email at zhangfa0426@outlook.com to request a full refund.
  • Throw away the stick figure toys when asked to do so as part of the refund process.
  • Send a photo of the disposed toys to zhangfa0426@outlook.com.

Check the area where the toys were used as well. If any magnets have separated from the figures, keep them away from children too.

If you think a child has swallowed a magnet, seek medical attention immediately. Do not wait for symptoms to appear.

From the Agency

In its notice, the CPSC advised consumers to take the stick figures away from children immediately, stop using them and contact GBYMIUY for a full refund. The agency listed the remedy as a refund and named GBYMIUY as the consumer contact, reachable by email.

The CPSC identified the importer as Ningbo Jiboyou Trading Co., Ltd., doing business as GBYMIUY, of China. The toys were also manufactured in China.

The CPSC also reminds the public that federal law prohibits anyone from selling products subject to a Commission-ordered recall or to a voluntary recall undertaken in consultation with the agency. Anyone who sees an unsafe product or a product-related injury can report it at SaferProducts.gov. The CPSC consumer hotline is 800-638-2772.

Part of a Wider Pattern

This recall is one of several recent CPSC toy actions in which products were found to violate the mandatory standard for toys. Related notices on the agency’s site involve water bead ingestion hazards in squishy and mystery dumpling toys. Different hazards are involved, but each recall centers on small parts or materials that can cause serious internal harm if a child swallows them.

For families who bought the GBYMIUY toys online, the practical steps are simple. Check the packaging, remove the toys from children’s reach, and contact the company for a refund.
