Each model is tied to a range of serial numbers. The Halmstad 2 models fall in the range CSFxxABTRxx-V1-4296 through CSFxxABADTRxx-V1-18577. The Halmstad 3 and 4 models fall in the range SFxxABTRxx-V1-48413 through SFxxABTRxx-V1-48444. The Kiruna Hybrid 2 and 3 models fall in the range CSFxxABISxxTL-V1-4674 through CSFxxABADISxxTL-V1-18503.
How to Find Your Serial Number
The serial number appears on both the packaging and the sauna room itself. On the Halmstad 2, 3 and 4 rooms, the label is beneath the upper bench on the left side, directly above the electrical contactor box. On the Kiruna Hybrid 2 and 3 rooms, the label is on the right wall, beneath the right side of the upper bench. The model number is printed in the owner’s manual.
What Triggered the Recall
The issue is with the benches. According to the recall notice, the benches in the affected saunas can collapse. A bench giving way while someone is sitting or lying on it could cause a fall, which is why the department has flagged it as a fall hazard.
Nine incidents had been reported to the company in Canada as of October 5, 2026. The notice does not describe the circumstances of those incidents, and it confirms that none involved a reported injury.
Who Should Be Concerned
Anyone who bought or installed a Tylö Halmstad or Kiruna Hybrid sauna in Canada from February 2025 to July 2026 should check their model and serial number. This applies to home owners, and to anyone else who has one of these rooms installed and in use.
Because the saunas are fixed installations rather than small items, many owners may not have kept the packaging. In that case, the label inside the sauna room is the quickest way to confirm whether your unit is covered.
What Consumers Need to Do Now
Health Canada says consumers should immediately stop using the recalled saunas. Sauna360 is offering a free repair carried out by a professional installer, who will retrofit the benches with additional hardware and supports.
- Locate the model number in your manual and the serial number label inside the sauna room.
- Compare both against the lists above.
- If your unit is affected, stop using it right away.
- Contact Sauna360 by telephone at 1-866-936-5962, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday, or by email at recall@sauna360.com.
- Schedule the free repair with a professional installer.
The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada. Owners should not pass these saunas on to others until the repair has been completed.
From the Agency
Health Canada published the recall through its Recalls and Safety Alerts database. The department also reminds consumers to report any health or safety incident involving this product, or any other consumer product, using its Consumer Product Incident Report Form. The recall is also listed on the OECD Global Portal on Product Recalls, which tracks consumer product recalls internationally.
Health Canada’s database also lists an earlier, separate recall of Finnleo, Tylo, Polar, Radiant Health and Helo brand saunas and infrared kits over fire and burn hazards. That earlier notice is a different matter from this bench issue, and owners who are unsure which one applies to them can check both entries.
