INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses Recalled for Burn Hazard 2026: Health Canada

Health Canada announced a consumer product recall on September 24, 2026, covering INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses, after the left side of the device was found to overheat during extended use and pose a burn hazard. The recall is a joint action with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission and the importer, INMO International Technology Limited.

If you own a pair of these glasses, stop wearing them now. The fix is a firmware update, and the company says it must be installed before the glasses are used again.

The recall covers the INMO AIR3 Smart Glasses. According to Health Canada, the recalled product is black, with the words ‘AIR3’ and ‘INMO’ printed on a label on the inside of the right arm. That label is the quickest way to confirm you have the affected model.

The Reason Behind the Recall

The left side of the smart glasses may overheat during extended use. Because the glasses sit directly against the face and head, an overheating frame creates a burn hazard for the wearer.

As of September 17, 2026, the company had received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada. In the United States, it had received 10 reports of overheating incidents, with no reports of injuries.

Who Is Affected?

The company reported that 120 units were sold in Canada and 1,643 units were sold in the United States. The glasses were sold from December 2025 to August 2026. They were manufactured in China.

Anyone who bought the glasses during that window, whether in Canada or the United States, should check their product. The importer is INMO International Technology Limited of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, and the manufacturer is Sichuan INMO Technology Co., Ltd., also of Shenzhen, Guangdong.

Canadian law also applies here. The Canada Consumer Product Safety Act prohibits recalled products from being redistributed, sold or even given away in Canada, so these glasses should not be passed on to friends, family or resale platforms.

Health Canada’s instructions are short and clear. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled glasses and update the firmware to version 3.16 before using the product again.
