Switched THC and CBD Labels Prompt OVERTIME Punch Out Cannabis Recall 2026

A jar of cannabis labelled as mostly CBD may actually be about 30 percent THC. That mix-up is behind a recall of OVERTIME Punch Out dried cannabis flower in Ontario, where the THC and CBD values on the label were switched. Health Canada published the recall notice on October 21, 2026.

Galaxie Brands Corporation is the recalling firm. A single lot is affected, and 1,320 units were sold through authorized retailers in the province. The label understates the THC content and overstates the CBD content, which can lead to a much stronger effect than a buyer expects.

Products Affected by This Recall

The recall covers one product and one lot. Check your jar against the details below.

  • Product: OVERTIME Punch Out dried cannabis flower
  • Lot number: 11185
  • Product size: 3.5 g
  • Packaging date: 2026-09-15
  • Printed on the label: Total CBD 300 mg/g (30%) and Total THC 0.6 mg/g
  • Actual values: Total CBD 0.6 mg/g and Total THC 300 mg/g (30%)

The jar has a red label with the red octagon-shaped standardized cannabis symbol on the left side. A wraparound red label on the side of the jar carries additional product information and bar codes.

What Went Wrong?

The labelling is wrong. The THC and CBD values were swapped, so the product is far higher in THC than the label says. Health Canada lists the issue as a cannabis labelling and packaging problem.

Accurate cannabinoid information is how consumers judge how much to use. A person who believes the flower is almost all CBD and very low in THC might use a larger amount than they would with a high-THC product. That can lead to over-intoxication.

The temporary effects of a THC overdose can include:

  • confusion
  • disorganized thinking
  • physical and mental impairment
  • anxiety, fear or panic
  • decreased blood pressure
  • elevated heart rate

In remote cases, depending on the individual and the dose of THC consumed, a THC overdose can also cause psychotic episodes marked by paranoia, delusion or hallucinations. Health Canada says these effects could in some cases lead to an emergency department visit or hospitalization.

Where Were These Products Sold?

The recalled product was distributed in Ontario only. According to the notice, 1,320 units were sold from September 16 to October 16, 2026 through authorized retailers in the province. The Ontario Cannabis Store is listed as the distributor.

Anyone who bought OVERTIME Punch Out in Ontario during that window should check the lot number on the jar. Consumers who bought the product for someone else, or who share cannabis with others, should pass the warning along.

Neither Galaxie Brands Corporation nor Health Canada has received any complaints or adverse reaction reports about the recalled lot.

What Consumers Need to Do Now

Follow these steps if you have OVERTIME Punch Out at home:

  • Check the lot number on your jar. Only lot 11185 is affected.
  • If your jar matches, remember that the real THC level is about 30 percent, not the 0.6 mg/g printed on the label. Do not rely on the label when deciding how much to use.
  • Contact the store where you bought the product if you wish to return it.
  • Report any health or safety complaint about this or any other cannabis product by filling out the online Cannabis Reporting Form on the Health Canada website.

If you feel unwell after using the product, seek medical help. Severe symptoms such as panic, a racing heart or paranoia can need urgent attention.
