300 YERYORK Pressure Washers Recalled Over Shock and Electrocution Risk

Roughly 300 electric pressure washers sold under the YERYORK brand are being recalled after regulators determined the units lack critical safety protections against electric shock. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on August 27, 2026, warning that the affected machines could expose users to serious injury or death.

The pressure washers were sold exclusively on Amazon.com between March 2025 and June 2026, at a price of about $120 each. If you purchased one during that window, it is worth checking your unit against the details below before using it again.

Products Affected by This Recall

The recall covers YERYORK-branded electric pressure washers rated at 2.5 GPM. The units are green with black trim and measure about 10.24 inches deep, 16.14 inches wide and 12.01 inches high. Each machine ships with a 500 ml foam cannon, four quick-disconnect nozzles, a 32.81-foot hose and four lockable wheels.

Only pressure washers that do not have a built-in ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI) are included in this action. The ‘YERYORK’ brand name is printed on the front of the unit, and the model number ‘YE-006’ appears on a label near the handle, on top of the machine.

What Triggered the Recall

According to CPSC, the recalled pressure washers lack an integral GFCI as well as an adequately long power cord. Without a GFCI, the device cannot automatically cut power in the event of a ground fault, and a shortened cord may push users toward unsafe extension-cord setups near water. Together, these gaps create what the agency describes as a serious risk of injury or death from shock and electrocution.

No injuries or incidents have been reported in connection with these pressure washers so far, but the potential severity of an electrocution hazard is why CPSC and the manufacturer moved to pull the product from use rather than wait for harm to occur.

This recall follows a string of similar actions this year involving other pressure washer brands sold online, several of which cited the same underlying issue: the absence of a GFCI safeguard on electric models intended for outdoor, water-adjacent use.
