SHEIN Recalls Michley Children’s Pajamas Over Burn Hazard Risk 2026

SHEIN Distribution Corporation has issued a recall of approximately 160 units of Michley Children’s Pajamas due to a serious burn hazard. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall on June 18, 2026, after it was determined that the one-piece pajamas violate the mandatory flammability standard for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of serious burn injuries or death to young children.

What Products Are Being Recalled?
The recall covers Michley-branded one-piece children’s pajamas sold exclusively on SHEIN.com from May 2025 through December 2025 at approximately $25 each. The affected pajamas were available in four color and design combinations:
- Green with a dinosaur patch
- Pink with a bunny patch
- Yellow with a giraffe patch
- Purple with a rabbit patch
The pajamas were sold in sizes 80 through 130. Identification is straightforward: the brand name ‘Michley’ and the size are printed on a sewn-in seam label inside the garment. The products were imported by SHEIN Distribution Corporation of Los Angeles, California, and manufactured in China. The CPSC recall number is 26-567.
Why Was This Recall Issued?
The recalled pajamas fail to meet the mandatory federal flammability standard for children’s sleepwear as required under the Flammable Fabrics Act. This standard exists to ensure that children’s nightwear either resists ignition or self-extinguishes quickly in the event of accidental contact with a flame or heat source. Garments that do not meet this standard can ignite rapidly and burn intensely, dramatically increasing the risk of severe burn injuries. The CPSC notes that no injuries or incidents have been reported to date; however, the risk is considered serious enough to warrant an immediate recall. Notably, the third-party seller on SHEIN.com has not responded to the CPSC’s Notice of Violation, leading the CPSC to issue a formal Product Safety Warning for products sold by that seller.
