Joolz USA Inc. has issued a recall of approximately 3,840 Joolz Aer2 Car Seat Adapters for strollers in the United States, with an additional 148 units sold in Canada also affected. The recall, announced on June 18, 2026, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is being conducted due to a serious fall hazard that could result in significant injury to infants and young children.

What Products Are Being Recalled?

The recall involves the Aer2 Car Seat Adapters designed specifically for use with the Joolz Aer2 Stroller. These black plastic adapters are sold as a set of two and are intended to allow parents to transfer a car seat directly onto the stroller frame. The adapters were sold as accessories, and it is important to note that only the car seat adapters are subject to this recall — the Joolz Aer2 Stroller itself is not included.

Consumers can identify recalled units by checking the inside of the adapter for a product identifier that starts with ‘NL311’. These adapters were sold at major retailers including Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, and specialty baby stores nationwide, as well as online at joolz.com, bloomingdales.com, nordstrom.com, and amazon.com. They were available from June 2025 through May 2026 at an approximate retail price of $50 per set. The adapters are manufactured in China and imported by Joolz USA Inc. of New York, New York.

Why Was This Recall Issued?

The CPSC and Joolz determined that the recalled car seat adapters can fail to properly attach to the stroller, which may cause the car seat — potentially with an infant inside — to detach and fall. This poses a serious risk of injury from a fall hazard. Joolz has received one report of the car seat adapters detaching from a stroller. No injuries have been reported at this time, but the potential for serious harm prompted the company to act swiftly in partnership with the CPSC.
